Mountain, Electric, Road or Gravel bike hire
We operate a hire fleet of around 40 bikes, suitable for exploring the Sussex countryside, South Downs Way, Friston Forest and Seven Sisters Cliffs. Our shop is easily reached from London, Brighton, and Eastbourne, see here for more details.
We are happy to arrange hire for single riders, large groups, long term arrangements for holidays or touring the UK . Our bikes are professionally set up and serviced regularly, we also take the time to get you fitted to the right size and run through how to operate the gears and brakes.
Booking is available online by clicking here or using the form below. We often have bikes available without booking, though we highly recommend reserving in advance to avoid disappointment.
As a security measure you will need to leave a form of photo ID with us whilst on the bike, and we may ask for a deposit to be paid by card depending on the bike value.
Our hire fleet consists of a range of models, suitable for both on and off road riding. We have trailers and seats for carrying children, adaptive tricycles for disabled and less confident riders, and a range of accessories for all types of cycling.
If you’re thinking of a long distance ride such as the South Downs Way, King Alfreds Way or Cantii Way we can offer a discount for multi-day hire, and flexibility for collection/drop off times, please get in touch to discuss. We can provide a range of bike packing/touring equipment, and having lots of experience in this area we love to give advice!

MOUNTAIn BIKES
We have a selection of high quality mountain bikes to hire from Marin and GT. Featuring front suspension forks, powerful hydraulic brakes and a simple to use 1x gear system, these versatile bikes work well for exploring singletrack trails in Friston Forest, XC rides over the South Downs, or simply cruising to the beach or local village pub!

Electric bikes
We have two types of electric bike available for hire, from GT and Marin. Front Suspension models are suitable for general riding on road, bridleways, gravel tracks and easier singletrack trails. Full Suspension bikes are best if you plan to ride on tougher off road routes, providing more comfort and control on difficult terrain, though they still work well on easier trails as well.
If you’re planning a longer ride or want to use the bike over multiple days, we can provide extra batteries and chargers, please phone or email to discuss.
Please note the minimum age (in UK Law) to ride an ebike is 14 years old.

Road, gravel and touring bikes
We have a selection of Trek, Cervelo, Specialized and Windover bikes to suit those looking for drop handlebars. We can also supply luggage such as pannier racks and bike packing gear if you’re planning a longer trip.

kids bikes and trailers
We stock bikes in smaller sizes for children and youths, as well a range of trailers and child seats for toddlers. We even have a separate trailer available for dogs!

ACCESSIBLE BIKES
We are fortunate to have received funding via the South Downs National Park to purchase accessible bikes for hire to those unable to ride a two wheeled bicycle.
We have a range of options, some electrically assisted, with a variety of seating positions and intended uses.
